The problem
Zuri Hotels runs six boutique properties across two countries — Zuri Poa & Zuri Resort in Makutano, the Zuri Place Restaurant & Sports Lounge in Kanduyi, Bungoma, and the Zuri Eden Safari Hotel in Malaba, Uganda. Guests had no single place to see the rooms, the dining and the group's full range, or to book across properties.
My approach
I designed one dark, editorial brand home — 'Stay. Feast. Unwind.' — with a property-aware stay search (check-in, check-out, guests, any Zuri property), dedicated pages per property and for the restaurant & sports lounge, a light/dark theme, and WhatsApp-first booking with Kenya and Uganda phone lines one tap away.
How it's built
- Hand-built static HTML/CSS/JS — no framework, no CMS, nothing to break.
- Cross-property stay search and per-property pages (Poa/Resort, Restaurant, Eden Safari Uganda).
- WhatsApp-first booking with click-to-call lines for Kenya (+254) and Uganda (+256).
- Served by Caddy in Docker, deployed on Railway.
Highlights
- Six properties in two countries under one credible brand home.
- A booking search that routes guests to the right property.
- Fast, dependency-free static build — cheap to host, easy to keep alive.
